Promoting the role of bridging the Party’s will and the People’s aspirations

In 2025, the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) at all levels in the province continues to promote its role as a core force, serving as a bridge between the Party’s will and the people’s hearts, thereby contributing to strengthening social consensus.

These efforts by the provincial VFF system have united the people in joining forces and working together for the development of Dong Nai.

Where people put their trust in

Several key tasks of the VFF work include intensifying communication, mobilisation, and the gathering of people from all walks of life; consolidating, strengthening, and promoting the power of the great national unity bloc for national construction and defence; and promoting the tradition of mutual assistance to mobilise all social resources to support policy beneficiaries and those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution.

According to Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial VFF Committee Huynh Thi Hang, throughout the implementation of their tasks, VFF Committees at all levels in the province have demonstrated commitment, innovation, and strong efforts, achieving comprehensive results and leaving significant impressions across many fields through substantive renewal of content and methods of public mobilisation. Major emulation movements and campaigns have been implemented effectively. Notably, social supervision and criticism have seen remarkable progress, with VFF Committees at all levels leading 1,100 supervision activities and conducting criticism on 809 draft documents. These efforts have contributed to protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the people, fostering social consensus in project implementation, and harnessing the intellectual contributions of people from all walks of life to develop important draft documents at the communal and provincial levels.

Regarding the implementation of social welfare work, the VFF has demonstrated its role as a bridge of compassion by mobilising over VND 1.3 trillion in social resources to support the community through various forms. The VFF also played a role in spreading the spirit of solidarity and compassion of Dong Nai residents nationwide, raising over VND 231 billion for localities affected by natural disasters. These outcomes were achieved through the Front’s efforts to build public trust by ensuring transparency in the collection and allocation of people’s contributions. Beneficiaries of assistance are selected through review by mass organisations and residential communities, ensuring that resources are used for the right purposes and reach the right recipients.

War veteran Dieu Bia of Hamlet 4, Tho Son Commune, shared that his family has little land for production, and due to his advanced age, he could not build a house on his own. Through mobilisation by the VFF Committee at the communal and provincial levels, he received VND 120 million to build a solid home. He and his family are delighted, as they can now enjoy stable accommodation.

Bringing the VFF’s activities closer to the people, for the people

To continue promoting its role in uniting the people, fostering strong social consensus, and contributing to generating the combined strength needed to effectively achieve the goals and tasks for Dong Nai’s development, the VFF at all levels in the province has set out various solutions to carry out its key tasks.

Specifically, the first VFF congresses at the communal level for the 2025–2030 tenure brought together and elected nearly 6,000 outstanding individuals as the VFF members. The first Dong Nai Provincial VFF Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure elected 117 members. As a result, the provincial and communal VFF Committees now include a complete representation of ethnic minority groups, religious communities, experts, intellectuals from various fields, artists and artisans, and representatives of social and mass organisations.

Notably, this is the first tenure in which the VFF Committees at all levels comprise the former VFF Committees and five political organisations: the Youth Union, Women’s Union, Farmers’ Union, Veterans’ Association, and Confederation of Labour. The five Vice Chairpersons of the Provincial VFF Committee concurrently head these five political organisations. This model reflects consistency and synchronisation in all activities, following the principle of unified action with seamless vertical and horizontal coordination.

Venerable Thich Hue Khai, Head of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in Dong Nai Province, noted that during the provincial and communal VFF Congresses, Buddhist dignitaries and representatives of other religions were invited to join the VFF committees’ membership. Each individual expressed a readiness to contribute to building the great solidarity bloc in Dong Nai.

Alongside this, the all-level VFF Committees in the province have set out measures to improve task performance in line with practical needs.

In 2025, as the 95th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the VFF and the 22nd Great National Solidarity Day are celebrated, the Standing Committees of the provincial and grassroots VFF Committees call on all cadres, Party members, and people from all walks of life to promote the spirit of solidarity and innovation, proactively participate in patriotic emulation movements, and contribute to affirming the role and position of the VFF in the new period.

According to Huynh Thi Hang, the key task of the VFF at all levels for the 2025–2030 tenure has identified its key mission for the 2025–2030 term, which is to adhere to the Party’s guidelines on promoting the tradition of great national unity to build the country and Dong Nai province prosperously and happily, placing the people at the centre and as the foundation. Ongoing efforts should continue to innovate its thinking and approaches in a comprehensive and people-centred direction, following the principles of genuine thought, genuine speech, genuine action, genuine outcomes, and genuine benefits for the people. The VFF will serve as the centre of unity for all social strata, ethnic groups, and religious communities in the province. Its work will continue to expand, generating deep and practical impacts, and contributing to the successful implementation of set goals and tasks.

The VFF and its member organisations will also continue improving coordination with local authorities through specific regulations, programmes, and plans; prioritise targeted support for the people with clearly assigned responsibilities for each member organisation; and strengthen substantive social supervision and criticism. Digital technology will be applied to management and to the collection of public feedback and recommendations.

Particularly, the VFF will actively launch emulation movements to celebrate the success of Party congresses at all levels, focusing on mobilising social resources to care for policy beneficiaries and those who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution, identified as the core and essential task of the organisation.
