Accordingly, on the afternoon of November 26, Working Delegation No. 5 of the province arrived in Tuy An Commune, Dak Lak Province (a commune formerly belonging to Phu Yen Province), located more than 150km from National Highway 1A.
At the site, members of the provincial delegation assisted staff at An Ninh Tay Health Station with post-flood environmental sanitation efforts, including organizing and cleaning medical equipment and medicine cabinets. The delegation also held discussions with on-duty staff regarding measures to improve the effectiveness of medical examination and treatment for residents in the locality, as floodwaters recede and the risk of disease outbreaks remains high, particularly dengue fever, respiratory infections, and skin diseases. In addition, the delegation provided the commune health station with multiple family medicine kits for distribution to the local population.

Bien Han Toan, Head of An Ninh Tay Health Station in Tuy An Commune, said that after more than four days submerged in floodwaters, much of the station’s equipment, furnishings, and medicines were damaged. Recently, the number of people seeking medical care at the commune health station has been relatively high. At the same time, a limited workforce has made it difficult to clean, reorganize the facility, and replenish medical supplies. Thanks to the support of officials, doctors, and medical staff from Dong Nai Province, the station was restored to a clean, orderly state in just one afternoon.

According to Do Thi Nguyen, Director of the Department of Health and Head of the Dong Nai delegation supporting residents of Dak Lak Province in overcoming the aftermath of natural disasters and floods, on the first day of deployment, three medical examination and medicine distribution teams, one preventive medicine team, and the Volunteer Youth Team of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union operated effectively. As a result, they achieved strong outcomes in providing checkups, distributing medicines, giving gifts, disinfecting affected areas, and assisting with home repairs, while ensuring absolute safety.
According to the working agenda, on November 27, the provincial delegation will continue visiting local communes to conduct medical examinations, distribute medicines, provide gifts, support home repairs, restore electricity and water systems, perform disinfection spraying, and clean up the environment.
