According to the organizing committee, in modern society, health care and nutritional balance remain issues of great concern. However, problems such as malnutrition, stunted growth, micronutrient deficiencies, overweight conditions, and obesity are still common. Among adults, many women are also facing chronic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular disorders, hypertension, and obesity, …

As a representative organization that protects the rights and interests of women, the Vietnam Women’s Union considers enhancing knowledge and skills in health care and nutritional balance for its officials, members, and women as its key tasks.

At the program, the officials, members, and women exchanged views with nutrition experts on the importance of nutrition; appropriate diets for different age groups and health conditions; and nutritional regimes among generations within a family.

The nutrition expert also suggested the 3-3-3 formula, including 3-sufficient, 3 no, and 3-clean practices to balance nutrition for the whole family. Specifically, the “3-sufficient” part is related to sufficient starchy foods, protein-rich foods, and vegetables/fruits; the “3 no” part includes avoiding too much sugar, fat/oil, or salt; and the '3-clean' part involves using clean ingredients, processing and storing food hygienically, and maintaining overall cleanliness.
