The Phu Trung Commune Veterans’ Association currently has 278 members. In the past term, the Association united, took initiative, and made efforts to overcome difficulties and challenges, successfully implementing all 10 targets set by the previous congress resolution.
Notably, the “Comradeship Fund” grew by an average of 2 million VND per member, reaching more than 1.5 billion VND; resources were mobilized to build one new Veterans’ Gratitude House and repair two others, worth a total of 120 million VND; and support was provided to help two poor veteran members’ families and three near-poor veteran members’ households sustainably escape poverty.
From patriotic emulation movements, many good practices and exemplary models emerged, with seven collectives and 12 individuals recognized and commended by the Provincial Veterans’ Association and other levels and sectors. The first Congress of the Phu Trung Commune Veterans’ Association agreed on 10 key targets and 7 task groups aimed at successfully achieving the goal of continuing to mobilize generations of veterans to uphold the qualities of “Uncle Ho’s Soldiers” and the tradition of “Loyalty - Exemplarity - Innovation.” The Association strives to build a strong and transparent organization and excellently fulfill its political tasks, contributing to the successful implementation of the resolutions of the Commune Party Congress and the Provincial Veterans’ Congress for the 2025–2030 term.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai Provincial Veterans’ Association Phan Van Thu highly appreciated the achievements of the Phu Trung Commune Veterans’ Association in the past term. He also requested the Association to thoroughly grasp the congress resolution, the action program of the Phu Trung Commune Party Organization, and the resolution of the Dong Nai Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term, and to translate them into concrete action plans for the Association in the coming period.
He emphasized the importance of staying abreast of patriotic campaigns and emulation movements to promote the exemplary spirit of veterans, serving as the core force in implementing initiatives with creativity, effectiveness, and practical value. He also urged close coordination with other Union levels to enhance youth education; strict compliance with principles and regulations of operation; and the promotion of democracy to successfully realize the congress theme “Loyalty - Solidarity -Exemplarity - Innovation.”

The congress also announced the approval of the 14-member Executive Committee of the Phu Trung Commune Veterans’ Association, along with the Standing Committee and the Inspection Committee. At the same time, it expressed gratitude to the outgoing Executive Committee members who will not serve in the 2025–2030 term.
Following the congress, the Provincial Veterans’ Association held a brief meeting to review and draw lessons for organizing congresses at other associations across the province.
