Dau Giay Commune strongly promotes spirit of creativity and self-governance of local people

On September 23 and 24, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dau Giay Commune organized its 1st Congress, 2025-2030 term.

Attending the congress were comrades: Nguyen Minh Kien, Provincial Party Committee member, Vice Chairman of the provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee, Secretary of the Dong Nai Provincial Youth Union; Cao Tien Sy, Provincial Party Committee member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Dau Giay Commune; along with commune leaders and 125 official delegates representing people from all social strata in the commune.

In the past term, the activities of the commune's Fatherland Front and its member organizations have been significantly innovated and effective, promoting their role in the political system, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development, national defense, and security tasks in the locality.

The commune's Fatherland Front organized 72 propaganda sessions with over 5,600 attendees. Annually, 100% of residential areas in the commune successfully organize the Great National Unity Festival with diverse forms, attracting a large number of participants.

In addition, the VFF Committee of the commune effectively implemented the movement "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses"; building 17 new houses and repairing 20 houses with a total cost of nearly 3 billion VND. Activities for the poor were promoted,

resulting in the mobilization and distribution of over 5,000 gifts, nearly 300 scholarships, and assistance for more than 200 disadvantaged cases with a total value of nearly 2 billion VND.

The congress elected 52 members of the 1st communal VFF Committee, for the 2025-2030 tenure; at the same time, it elected 2 official delegates and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st VFF Congress of Dong Nai province, 2025-2030 term. Nguyen Thi Viet was re-elected as the Chairwoman of the VFF Committee of Dau Giay Commune for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking at the congress, Vice Chairman of the provincial VFF Committee Nguyen Minh Kien requested the commune's Fatherland Front to continue to strongly innovate the content and methods of propaganda and mobilization, promoting the core role of the great national unity bloc. At the same time, focus is placed on propagating and mobilizing the people to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies, State laws, and local regulations.

Nguyen Minh Kien requested to further promote the role of the commune's Fatherland Front in practicing grassroots democracy. He emphasized the need to arouse and strongly promote the spirit of creativity and self-governance of the people, considering this as the core driving force in building and developing Dau Giay Commune in the coming time.

Along with that, more attention would be paid to social welfare work, shifting from short-term support to creative, sustainable livelihoods associated with career transformation and exploiting local advantages, along with continuing to build a team of Front cadres with sufficient quantity, good quality, competence, and prestige, meeting the requirements of tasks in the new situation.
