In the first eight months of 2025, the province established 23 new cooperatives. As of now, Dong Nai has a total of 881 cooperatives, People's Credit Funds, and two cooperative unions, with more than 56,900 members.

Also in the same period, the Dong Nai Cooperative Development Support Fund (DCDSF) disbursed loans for 27 applications from cooperatives with a total amount of VND 27.3 billion. As of the end of August 2025, the total outstanding loans had reached over VND 105.4 billion.

Many cooperatives have participated in value chains, produced VietGAP-, GlobalGAP-, and OCOP-certified products, and expanded linkages for farm produce distribution. Some cooperatives have taken the lead in applying digital technology in management and e-commerce.

The DNCA proposed that the Provincial People's Committee promptly approve the Project on Raising Awareness of the Collective Economy and Cooperatives in Dong Nai for the 2026–2030 period; swiftly consolidate the Provincial Steering Committee for Collective Economy and Cooperative Development, and guide commune-level administrations to establish similar committees to better coordinate support efforts.

The DNCA also requested continued budget allocation for 2026 and early approval of the plan to merge the Binh Phuoc Cooperative Support Fund into the Dong Nai Cooperative Development Support Fund (DCDSF) to enable timely support for cooperatives.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee Nguyen Kim Long emphasized that the Cooperative Alliance plays a vital role in advancing the collective economy. Despite facing many challenges, the Dong Nai Cooperative Alliance has made notable efforts to fulfill its role and has left a meaningful mark in carrying out its assigned tasks.

In the coming time, the DNCA must continue to strengthen its role in managing and developing the collective economy while building clear goals and action programs with strong determination. In particular, it should promote its role in supporting cooperatives in market linkage and product consumption, together with facilitating cooperatives, especially agricultural ones, in registering trademarks, developing cultivation zones, and implementing the OCOP program, thus creating momentum to attract more cooperatives to join the alliance.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Kim Long assigned relevant departments and agencies to address the recommendations of the DNCA promptly.
