24 ideas and projects compete in the challenge round of the Dong Nai Provincial Innovative Startup Contest

On the morning of September 11, the Dong Nai Department of Science and Technology held the challenge round of the 2025 Dong Nai Provincial Innovative Startup Competition. The round featured 24 projects submitted by individual and team entrants, selected from the preliminary round.

In the challenge round, the participants and teams presented their ideas and projects, highlighting their feasibility, and then responded to questions from the judging panel.

The competition featured numerous ideas and projects related to environmental protection and advanced technology, including: on-site carbonization furnaces for household waste; solar-powered mini EV charging stations; green startups using leftover fabric fibers; creating artworks of local historical relics and scenic spots from recycled paper materials; solar charging stations for students’ electric bicycles and motorcycles; rubber sheet drying systems; and research on the potential use of drone technology in land clearance and compensation work in Tri An commune, Dong Nai province.

Projects were evaluated based on the following criteria: novelty and creativity; commercialization potential and growth prospects; completeness of the business plan; level of impact and economic and social significance; and the resources available to implement the idea or project.

Following the challenge round, the jury will score and select the most excellent ideas and projects to advance to the final round.
