144 child delegates to take part in 2025 Dong Nai Provincial Children’s Forum

On the morning of September 18, leaders of the Dong Nai Department of Health chaired a meeting with provincial departments, agencies, and mass organizations to finalize plans for organizing the 2025 Dong Nai Children's Forum.

The Dong Nai Children’s Forum, themed “Listening to Children Speak”, is scheduled to take place on October 17, with the participation of 144 child delegates and 48 staff members responsible for child care, representing 48 out of 95 communes and wards across the province. During the program, delegates will have the opportunity to visit, offer incense, and receive guided explanations at the Tran Bien Temple of Literature.

Prior to the official forum, delegates will break into groups to discuss six key topics, including children’s rights and their voices; prevention of abuse and school violence; prevention of child drowning accidents; child safety in cyberspace; psychological and physiological changes during puberty; and gender equality and anti-discrimination.

At the official forum, delegates will watch a report highlighting the harmful effects of electronic device overuse on children’s health and the issue of child exploitation in cyberspace. Group representatives will present their views during the discussion session; child delegates will share their opinions; and representatives from provincial departments, sectors, along with psychological experts, will exchange ideas and provide guidance.

Within the framework of the meeting, representatives of provincial departments, sectors, and mass organizations discussed, shared opinions, and reached consensus on the tasks assigned for the forum. Leaders of the Department of Health acknowledged the contributions from the representatives and committed to supplementing and refining the forum’s content. At the same time, they called on all departments, sectors, and mass organizations to work together to ensure the forum takes place on schedule and achieves its intended purpose and significance.
