(ĐN)- Dong Nai-based businesses exported nearly US$8.38 billion in the first four months of this year, an increase of about 14.6% compared to the same period last year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

The export turnover was mainly concentrated in the foreign-invested economic sector with nearly US$6.2 billion, followed by the non-state sector with over US$2 billion, and the state sector with nearly US$172 million. In recent years, the export turnover from the state-owned sector has gradually declined, as many state-owned companies have undergone privatization and divestment following the government’s roadmap.

Local companies exporting goods to the U.S. are accelerating their delivery schedules in the second quarter. As a result, export turnover is expected to continue increasing in May and June 2025. After that, it will largely depend on the outcome of negotiations between the Vietnamese Government and the U.S. regarding reciprocal tax rates.
