Khanh noted that recent times have seen the VNAT and CNN co-operate in many projects aimed at popularizing Vietnamese tourism in the region and the wider world.
In 2021 video clips on Vietnamese tourism broadcast by CNN channel efficiently introduced the country’s quintessential nature to foreign visitors, he added.
Robert Bradley, senior vice president of CNN International, said the COVID-19 pandemic had changed travel habits among international travelers. Indeed, now they typically prefer short tours, suburban areas, and peaceful countryside, with Vietnam having plenty of potential for recovering post-pandemic tourism services and developing outbound markets.
CNN has a large crew that can support and ensure the successful promotional campaign of Vietnam's tourism, he assured, noting each video clip on Vietnamese tourism conveys stories of destinations, beauty, culture, and historical values.
The two sides spent time discussing future co-operation, including organizing events to popularize tourism in Vietnam and several key markets in 2023.
The Vietnamese tourism industry has shown a strong recovery by welcoming 1.7 million foreign visitors in the first nine months of this year and it aims to receive five million arrivals by the end of the year.
