Localities launch tourism stimulation packages for 2021

A campaign entitled ‘Beauty and Fragrant of Lao Cai’ is being held in the northern province of Lao Cai from April until the end of this year. The campaign features assorted activities including a video and clip making contest titled ‘Lao Cai – A friendly, safe and attractive destination’, and a trip for press agencies to promote the locality’s hospitality sector.

In addition, a Sapa culture and tourism festival will be held in Hanoi and a caravan programme promoting Lao Cai’s tourism in four key markets of Ninh Binh, Hue, Da Nang and Hoi An will take place in May.

Other highlights of the campaign include art performances, a flower festival, and a brocade exhibition at the Sapa Centre for Tourism Promotion, a race passing through tourist attractions in the districts of Sapa, Y Ty and Bat Xat, and a ‘Season of Love’ programme.

In Da Nang City, the local hospitality sector has planned specific programmes for domestic market each quarter of this year.

Accordingly, in the first quarter, the city focused on promoting Da Nang as a green city for visitors. In the second quarter, Da Nang is advertised as a colourful city with vibrant summer vibes, when tourists can take part in the annual Amazing Da Nang Festival, a golf week, and interesting sea tourism events along sun-drenched beaches in the city.

In the second half of the year, the city’s hospitality sector will work to popularise Da Nang as an ideal place for leisure travel and Meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions (MICE) tourism, respectively.

Meanwhile, Quang Ninh Province plans to host more than 30 tourism events from March to May with the highlights including the Ha Long Culture and Tourism Week 2021, a circus gala, an EDM music fest, a national festival of musical bands, and a volleyball tournament.

In addition, the province has also partnered with travel businesses to develop new tourist products and travel combo deals with discounts of up to 50% on prices for visitors.
