Accordingly, the Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81 hotel of Vietnam won the most WTA awards, including ‘Hotel in the World’s Leading City 2020’, ‘World’s Top Wedding and Conference Hotel 2020’ and ‘World’s Leading River Hotel
2020’.
Meanwhile, Sun World Ba Na Hill Resort won two awards, including ‘World's Leading Iconic Tourist Attraction 2020’ and ‘World's Leading Iconic Tourist Bridge 2020’.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort was awarded ‘World’s Leading Green Resort’.
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort received the title of ‘World's Leading Luxury Wedding Resort’.
Sun World Phansipan Legend of Vietnam won the ‘World's Leading Cultural Tourist Attraction’ award.
Premier Village Danang Resort, operated by AccorHotels Vietnam, was awarded the ‘World's Leading Family Villa Resort’.
In addition, Vietnam’s national airline - Vietnam Airlines was honored as ‘World's Leading Cultural Airline 2020’, Viettravelwas awarded the ‘World's Leading Group Tour Operator 2020’ and Van Don International Airport was awarded ‘World's Leading Regional Airport’.
The Grand Final of the World Tourism Awards (WTA) in 2020 took place on November 27 in an online format, televised live from Zaryadye Park in Moscow after the one-year process of voting.
The World Travel Awards (WTA) aims to recognise and honour excellence in all major sectors of the tourism, travel and hospitality industry since 1993 and the WTA is globally recognised as an excellence award in these fields. The WTA 2020 Grand Final ceremony is where the winning candidates of the six regional WTA ceremonies compete with each other for prestigious world titles.
