Vietnam named as Asia's Leading Culinary Destination 2020

The country was announced as the winner of Asia's Leading Culinary Destination 2020 category by World Travel Awards (WTA) on November 3.

 

 

The country was announced as the winner of Asia’s Leading Culinary Destination 2020 category by World Travel Awards (WTA) on November 3.

This marks the second consecutive year that the nation has been awarded the leading position in the category, surpassing a number of other outstanding culinary destinations, including China, India, Japan, Malaysia, and Thailand.

Furthermore, the country finished first in the category of Asia’s Leading Cultural Destination for both 2019 and 2020, followed by Thailand, Cambodia, and India.

This year marks the first time that the nation has topped Asia’s Leading Heritage Destination, with China winning the previous version of the award in 2019.

Moreover, Vietnamese location Cuc Phuong National Park was the recipient of Asia’s Leading National Park 2020 award, representing the second consecutive year the site has claimed the prize.

In announcements relating to other WTA categories, many Vietnamese businesses were honoured, including InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort as both Asia’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2020 and Asia’s Leading Luxury Resort 2020, along with JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay as Asia’s Leading Luxury and Spa 2020.
