Visitors to Dong Nai fall sharply during national holidays

(ĐN)- Dong Nai province's tourist areas welcomed about 26,000 tourist arrivals during the Liberation of the South and National Reunification Day (April 30) and International Labour Day (May 1), declining sharply compared with the same period last year, according to the provincial Department of Tourism.

The fall was due to the local tourism department has asked local tourist areas to continue implementing the Prime Minister’s directions on preventive measures such as equipping staff with protective gear, checking temperature, wearing face masks and maintaining physical distance to ensure safety for holidaymakers.

Particularly, tourist areas like, Suoi Mo tourist area in Tan Phu district only attracted some 5,000 visitors, a year-on-year decrease of 90 percent, Giang Dien Waterfalls Tourist Park also welcomes more than 3,000 visitors, decreasing 80 percent over the same period in 2019.
