Ba Be Lake in Bac Kan Province is the largest natural lake in Vietnam. It is surrounded by limestone mountains. Tourists can go boating around the lake as they discover beautiful sights and enjoy traditional dishes. Thac Ba Lake in Yen Bai Province is one of Vietnam's largest artificial lakes. Tourists should not miss a visit to such a unique place in the northern mountainous area. Pa Khoang Lake is about 20km from Dien Bien’s city centre. A point of interest is that nearly 400 cherry trees line the shores of the lake. Every year in late December and early January the cherry trees bloom and the lake becomes a stunning tourist destination. Suoi Nai Lake is about 70km from the centre of Hanoi. You can discover the small islands of the lake by sailing boat. The area is home to many different birds. Lap An Lagoon in Hue City is an ideal place to take wonderful photos from March to June due to the breathtaking views.
