A volcanic cavern system in the Central Highlands province of Dak Nong- the longest of its kind in Southeast Asia- is set to open to public in 2016.
The 25-km volcanic cavern system was discovered by a group of Vietnamese and Japanese scientists in Krong No district’s Choah village in 2014.
The system includes more than 100 caves with different sizes
To enter the caves, visitors have to cross a large grass hill
The caves were formed millions of years ago
With unique geological identities and magnificent landscapes, the volcanic cavern system is seen as an ideal destination in Dak Nong aiming to attract more domestic and foreign tourists as a contribution to boosting the locality’s socio-economic development.
