Redwood (Afzelia xylocarpa) trees are on the list of endangered species in need of preservation. The 700-year-old redwood tree in the Cat Tien National Park in Dong Nai province is guarded carefully.

The tree is over 30 meters high, with the trunk diameter of nearly 4 meters at the lower part.

Redwood trees are mainly distributed in Vietnam and Laos, Thailand, and Cambodia. It is listed in the Vietnam Red Book.

The tree is now a must-see in Cat Tien National Park.
