(ĐN)- Fruit garden tours in Long Khanh town and Xuan Loc district are drawing a large number of tourists, including foreigners. This is an interesting idea as well as an eco-tour model in Dong Nai province’s localities where are famous for fruits such as rambutan, durian, mangosteen, guava and jackfruit, etc.

Walking in the garden covered with cool shady trees, visitors are interested in looking at ripe bunches of rambutan hanging over their heads or yellow bunches of strawberry dangling from the branches to the roots.

The owners of the gardens often take tourists around the garden and works like professional tourist guides. Tourists are allowed to pick up any fruit they like in the garden to enjoy. Speciality dishes are also available in their garden.

Presently, Da Han Waterfall tourist area’s fruit garden is becoming one of attractive destinations in Dong Nai. The garden is 10 hectare large and planted with many kinds of special fruit trees, including longan, rambutan, orange and mandarin. Having toured the garden, tourists can rest in hammocks or talk to one another over cups of hot tea and breathe fresh air.

Tourists like travelling to fruit garden because they can pick up fruits to eat right in the garden.

The tourism business units and locals have been investing and developing this model by creating agricultural products combined with other tourism services making up diversity, tourism image and benefits to Dong Nai, said Deputy Director of Nong Nghiep Xanh Cooperative in Thong Nhat district.
