According to the evaluation of the Steering Board, Dong Nai has many attractive eco-tourism sites but its tourism development is yet to match potential.
Mr Nguyen Thanh Tri, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee and Head of the Steering Committee, urged the tourism sector and related agencies to closely work in developing tourist products in order to attract more tourists, training tour guides to meet the tourism development demand in the process of provincial industrialization and modernization.
He also suggested that the locality should focus on promoting eco-tourism in Cat Tien National Park.
The province sets a target of receiving around three million holidaymakers in 2015, and hopes to earn a revenue of VND900 billion from the sector.
