Dong Loc T- Junction in Ha Tinh Province is a famous wartime location. On August 5, the place has become one of the must-see destinations for tourists to explore Ho Chi Minh Trail.

The Dong Loc T-Junction, which played a vital role in the transportation of necessities and ammunition from the north to the south, is associated with the death on July 24 in 1968 of 10 young female volunteers on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

In 1965-1968, the U.S. army dropped nearly 50,000 bombs and fired tens of thousands of missiles on the T-junction to cut off the transport route to the southern front. Therefore, at that time, people counted that each square meter in Dong Loc suffered three bombs.

There, around 16,000 Vietnamese soldiers sacrificed their lives to keep control of the road.
