I have been to Nui Chua National Park in Ninh Hai District of the central coast province of Ninh Thuan for several times as this is an ideal location for tourists to discover primitive landscapes and admire turtles during its birthing season from April to November. Bai Hom or Hom Beach is one of the stunning beaches in the national park for tourists to swim, dive, admire coral reefs and see turtles.
To get to the site, tourists are advised to hire a local tour guide or a staff from the eco tourist and environmental education department of the national park. Tourists have to pay an entrance fee at VND20,000 per person plus tour guide’s payment at VND200,000.
There is a road under construction leading from the national highway to the beach and it is expected to finish by the end of this year. The 2km path on some rough surfaces might take travelers about 30 minutes to arrive at the beach. People can take a rest and change clothes for swimming suits at Bai Hom sea reserve station overlooking the beach. Tourists can climb up some giant rock cliffs to take photos or watch local people going fishing.
ui Chua National Park overlooking the sea covers an area of about 30,000 hectares, including 23,000 hectares of land and 7,000 hectares of sea. The highest peak is Co Tuy, also known as Chua Anh Peak, 1,039 meters above the sea level. Attractions at the park are a trekking tour through the forest to reach the lake on the mountain and down to Thung Beach. Bai Thit (Thit Beach) where people preserve sea turtles and Hang Rai (otter cave) with a giant ancient coral reef dating back to two million years are also must-see destinations.
