Dong Nai sets up "most people frying sticky-rice balls" record

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Tourism Association last week organized a program to set up "The largest number of  people frying sticky-rice balls" and introduced the origin of the famous dish.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai Tourism Association last week organized a program to set up “The largest number of  people frying sticky-rice balls” and introduced the origin of the famous dish.

The event saw the participation of 53 chefs from restaurants in the province and Ho Chi Minh city, taking part in the frying the sticky-rice balls.

As a result, the Vietnam Record Book Center handed over the certificate in recognition of the record to Dong Nai Tourism Association.

On this occasion, Dong Nai Professional Chefs’ Association was established with 62 members. The association, headquartered in Bien Hoa city,  is under the instruction of the provincial Tourism Association, which will serve as a forum to popularize Vietnamese traditional dishes to Vietnamese people and foreigners.

The fried sticky-rice ball dish originated in 1952 at a restaurant in the province.
