You can experience a 1,767-step journey to breathe in the fresh air and green environment on the route leading to Ba Ra Mountain.

Ba Ra is the last mountain belonging to the Truong Son Range which runs across Vietnam. The mountain, which is located next to Provincial Road 741 in Binh Phuoc Province around 180 km from HCMC, is the third highest mountain in the south (732 meters), after Ba Den (984m) in Tay Ninh Province and Chua Chan (800m) in Dong Nai Province.

Tourists can take a cable car trip priced at VND50,000 to reach Ba Ra Mountain.

The mountain which stands majestically in between rubber trees used to be a prison during the revolution wars against France.

It takes three hours to reach Phuoc Long Town in Binh Phuoc Province on the newly-built Provincial Road 741. Tourists are advised to book their accommodation at My Le prior to reaching Ba Ra.

Upon arrival, you can choose one of two options to reach the peak of the mountain where a pagoda and temple are located. The first option is taking a cable car trip priced at VND50,000 for a one-way journey. The second route is by road and then walking the 1,767 stone steps to the mountain peak. Tourists can admire a panoramic view of the whole of Phuoc Long Town and Thac Mo hydropower plant in the distance or they can visit an uninhabited radar station which has been there since the American War.
