How to go there:

From HCM City, it is very easy to go to Can Gio by bus or motorcycle. If you take the bus, from Ben Thanh market, you catch the bus to Nha Be. The bus will stop at Binh Khanh Ferry. You buy ferry tickets to go to Can Gio. After passing the river, you catch a bus to go to the sea. On the way, you can stop to visit any site you want because there are no fixed bus stops in Can Gio.
The second way is easier, going by motorbike. The way to Can Gio is quite simple. From Nguyen Van Linh Boulevard in District 7, you turn right to Huynh Tan Phat Street and at the end of the road is the Binh Khanh Ferry. Passing the river is Can Gio district. From the ferry, you go straight to Can Thanh Town, where is the home to Can Gio beach.
Tourist sites:
The tourist attractions such as Vam Sac and Monkey Island ... are located on the straight from Can Gio to Can Thanh town center.
In Can Thanh town, you can visit the 30/4 resort, where is the home to the beach of the same name.
Running straight toward Can Gio market (at the end of Duyen Hai Road), you can visit the Whale Tomb, which is located next to the market. In the tomb there is the remains of a whale of 12 m long, which died in 1971. Every year on the 16th of the 8thh lunar month, local people hold the Whale Festival, with the participation of hundreds of boats.
Monkeys on the Monkey Island.
If you have time, you can also visit the Monkey Island (ticket of VND30,000 for weekdays and VND35,000 on weekends for adults) or hire a motor boat to visit the Vam Sat mangrove forest, one of the two eco-tourism of sustainable development of the world in Vietnam. The rent for a motor boath is VND500,000 ($25) for eight people.
Hotel:
You can hire inns or motel rooms along the 30/4 resort or Can Thanh town center to watch the sea at night. The rent is from VND200,000 ($10)/room.
Food:
There are many seafood restaurants along the road 30/4, where visitors can taste fresh seafood.
Note:
The road from the ferry to the town of Can Thanh is quiet, not flat so you should prepare good motorcycles. If you go to Can Gio on weekdays, there will have no roadside vehicle repair shops. If your motorcycles are broken, you will have to take it to a bus to seek a repair shop.
When you visit the Monkey Island, you should take care of your personal belongings because the monkeys here are very sly.
