The southern section of Cat Tien is located in Dong Nai where the 90-kilometer Dong Nai River runs through.
Excursionists are also suggested to use a voice recorder to record twitters of birds and cameras with good tele lens to take snapshots of scenery and birds. To admire beautiful moments of sunset or dawn at the site, tourists should contact with forest management to stay overnight at the site.
Despite not being able to make use of modern facilities, tourists will have a chance to get closer to nature and enjoy local specialties.
Tourists can also take a cruise along the site to see hundreds of crocodiles in the river and catch egrets hovering on the sky as they prepare to swoop for fish.
Many tourist agents offer trips for tourists to challenge themselves on how to survive in the forest with just 1.5 liters of water, a knife and a fish-hook. They will go through the forest and gather via GPS equipment. There will be interesting things of the Ma, S’Tieng and Tay ethnic people there for tourists to discover.
