Mountain beauty

Bat Xat is a remote area to the west of the northern mountainous province of Lao Cai. Dan Tri showcases its natural beauty - a hidden gem yet to be discovered by tourists.

A magical river in Bat Xat, which has two water colours. The red runs from the Red River and the green water comes from the Lung Po stream.

Lao Chai village is a famous tourist site with mushroom-shaped houses of the Ha Nhi people, one of the ethnic minority groups with the lowest populations in Vietnam. The village is at the height of 1500m over the sea level.

The terraced fields look like huge paintings. They are built up by many generations of Dao, Ha Nhi, H’Mong and Day ethnic groups.
