Long Hai is a small town and fishing centre, about 120 km southeast of HCMC, 40 km northeast of Vung Tau City and 15 km southeast of Baria City, a new administrative and commercial centre of the Province Baria - Vung Tau.
What makes this part of the Province attractive:
· its proximity of HCMC (only about 1.45 h drive)
· a less-commercialized seaside destination than other locations for travelers looking for a peaceful seaside retreat.
· its long expanses of clean sand and beaches which are the main attraction along the stretch of road that runs north of Long Hai and along a natural and unspoilt coast.
· its climate
There are no good or bad seasons for visiting
When one region is wet, cold or steamy hot, there is always somewhere else that is sunny and pleasantly warm. It is the case in the area of Anoasis Beach Resort located 2 km northeast of Long Hai, which benefits from a "micro - climate" even during the raining seasons, generally from May to October. While the annual average fall is 1,200mm in the Province during the raining season, the last five years have seen only three days in a row without seeing the sun in the area of Anoasis Beach Resort, and it was not raining all the time.
The annual average temperature is in the range of 26oC to 31oC. Perhaps, it is one of the main reasons why the last Emperor of Vietnam chose this site as one of his preferred holiday residence.
