The Nguyen Thi Dinh Award is a prestigious honor presented twice during each term by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women’s Union. It recognizes full-time Women’s Union officials at all levels who have achieved outstanding results and demonstrated innovation and creativity in renewing the union’s content and methods of operation, thereby contributing to building a strong Vietnam Women’s Union.
In her role as Member of the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai City Women’s Union, Head of the Women’s Affairs Division of the city Public Security, Senior Lieutenant Colonel Nong Thi Minh Hue has effectively advised on the organization of numerous activities marking major national, sectoral and union anniversaries. These have included 27 sessions on public awareness, education and legal dissemination, as well as the distribution of 2,500 gifts and essential supplies to disadvantaged women and children. She has also effectively implemented the “Godmother” program, which supports children in difficult circumstances.
Hue has also developed numerous initiatives. Notably, she helped advise the leadership of the provincial Public Security (now the municipal Public Security) on signing coordination agreements with local socio-political organizations to step up public outreach and guide residents in registering for, activating and using electronic identification accounts, as well as completing administrative procedures through online public service portals. These efforts helped accelerate the activation and use of electronic identification accounts and online public services among residents. As a result, Dong Nai became one of the first 10 provinces and cities nationwide to fulfill 100% of its target for electronic identification account activation.

As Deputy Head of the city’s Women’s Affairs Department, Vu Thi Huong proposed and advised on the launch and operation of software for evaluating emulation and commendation activities across the Women’s Union system. She also helped oversee the upgrading and operation of the open-source NukeViet application. From 2021 to 2025, she developed and applied numerous measures, solutions and practical initiatives that improved work efficiency and were recognized by the Dong Nai Women’s Union’s Initiative Council. In particular, she developed a province-level initiative to apply information technology to the union’s operations through an online platform, using software titled “Monitoring and Evaluation in the Women’s Union System” across Dong Nai. The initiative was recognized by the provincial People’s Committee (now the city People’s Committee) for its effectiveness and potential for wider application throughout the locality.
The award ceremony is expected to take place on the evening of October 16 in Hanoi.
