More than 10,000 fingerlings released into Tri An Lake

On the morning of September 25, the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Reserve in Tri An Ward, Dong Nai City, organized a fish stocking program to replenish aquatic resources in Tri An Lake in 2026.

At the event, about 10,200 fingerlings were released into Tri An Lake, including 3,400 marble goby, 3,400 Asian redtail catfish and 3,400 clown featherback. These are all native fish species that are well adapted to the ecological conditions of Tri An Lake, have good growth potential and economic value, and meet market demand.

Under the 2026 plan, the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Reserve will release a total of 20,400 fingerlings into Tri An Lake in two batches to replenish fish stocks. The first batch, comprising 10,200 fingerlings, has been completed, while the remaining fingerlings are scheduled to be released in November 2026.

The annual fish stocking program in Tri An Lake is organized by the Dong Nai Nature-Culture Reserve to help maintain stable fish stocks, conserve and develop valuable native fish species, regulate fish population structures and preserve biodiversity in natural aquatic ecosystems.

The program also contributes to restoring and developing aquatic resources while limiting the spread of invasive alien aquatic species into the environment. At the same time, it helps raise public awareness and strengthen the sense of responsibility for protecting and restoring aquatic resources and safeguarding the ecological environment. Through these efforts, fish stocking for aquatic resource restoration is expected to gradually become a practical community movement aimed at mobilizing public participation and contributions to the protection and development of aquatic resources in Tri An Lake.
