Beyond expressing pride and excitement over the transformation of Dong Nai into a city, many residents have also voiced a strong sense of responsibility toward contributing to building the locality into a modern, civilized and compassionate city.
At the same time, residents hope the city will allocate more resources to remote areas and ethnic minority communities, while investing in additional parks and public spaces to enhance people’s quality of life.

Nguyen Duc Phong, Director of the Transaction Office of the Loc Ninh-based Vietnam Bank for Social Policies: Effectively implementing policy credit programs to support local development

I am truly excited and optimistic about Dong Nai officially becoming a city. This is a particularly significant milestone that will create momentum for stronger socio-economic development, attract investment, and improve infrastructure and living standards.
In my position, we will continue effectively implementing policy credit programs, enabling eligible beneficiaries to access preferential loans for production, business expansion, job creation and livelihood stabilization. At the same time, we will continue coordinating with local authorities to improve service quality, reform administrative procedures and create the best possible conditions for households to access preferential credit policies.
We firmly believe that with the attention of leaders at all levels and the consensus of local residents, policy credit capital will continue to generate practical benefits, contributing to ensuring social welfare and socio-economic development of Loc Ninh Ward in an increasingly modern and civilized direction.
Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Hamlet Chief and Head of the Women’s Union Branch of Thanh Phu Hamlet, Loc Thanh Commune: Promoting the role of grassroots women in building a modern Dong Nai

“The fact that Dong Nai has become the country’s seventh city is a great joy and pride for local residents. I believe this is not only an important milestone affirming Dong Nai’s strong development after many years of effort, but also opens up more opportunities to improve people’s material and spiritual lives.
As a grassroots official, I am well aware of my responsibilities during this new stage of local development. In the coming time, together with the Women’s Union Branch and the Thanh Phu Hamlet administration, I will continue promoting public awareness campaigns encouraging residents to comply with Party guidelines and State policies and laws, actively participate in environmental protection, and help build bright, green, clean and beautiful residential areas, contributing to a modern urban lifestyle.
At the same time, I will continue supporting women members in developing household economies, building happy families and helping one another improve their lives. I believe that when every resident raises their sense of responsibility and works together, Dong Nai will become increasingly modern, civilized and livable.”
Tong Van Ut, a member of the Choro ethnic community in Xuan Loc Ward: More support policies for ethnic minority communities

We are ethnic minority residents living in a gateway area of Dong Nai, where most people largely depend on agriculture and still face many difficulties. Over the years, thanks to the attention of the Party and State, the lives of ethnic minority communities have improved, and our children now have better opportunities to study and advance in life.
We are very happy that Dong Nai has become a city, a milestone that recognizes the contributions and efforts of residents in remote areas like us toward the locality’s development. I hope that as Dong Nai becomes a city and Xuan Loc is upgraded to ward, there will continue to be investments in infrastructure and better roads. With greater resources, I hope authorities will introduce more support policies to help people in remote and ethnic minority areas catch up with other regions. The government should also create more favorable conditions for developing traditional occupations, improving livelihoods and promoting local tourism so that ethnic minority communities can continue improving their quality of life.
Ha Dinh Tien, resident of Tran Bien Ward: Investing in more parks and public spaces

What residents hope for first is that transport infrastructure will continue to be developed in a synchronized manner, improving connectivity between areas, reducing congestion and creating a more modern urban landscape. Alongside this is the expectation of a greener, cleaner living environment with more parks, public spaces and rivers to be renovated to preserve the identity of the land along the Dong Nai River.
As a city, Dong Nai will attract more significant resources in economy, technology, education, and high-quality healthcare, creating more jobs and development opportunities for its people. I believe Dong Nai will continue to implement and achieve the plans and master plans that the locality has set forth, affirming its position and role in driving the city's breakthrough development in the coming time.
In the development process, the city needs to maintain a harmonious balance between economic development goals and urban transformation, improving the quality of life for residents, preserving traditional beauty, kindness, generosity, and the inherent cultural values of a land with nearly 330 years of formation and development.
Nguyen Huynh Duc Huy, resident of Phuoc Tan Ward:
Public services and amenities must continue improving

When Dong Nai becomes a city, what people expect is not just a name or an administrative change, but more importantly, that the quality of service, infrastructure, and public utilities must be increasingly better. I hope administrative procedures will continue being reformed more strongly, reducing waiting times for people, especially those related to land, vehicle documents, civil status, or other public services.
In addition, transportation is also a major concern because traffic volume, population and travel demand will continue increasing. Therefore, it is necessary to invest more comprehensively in roads, intersections, traffic management and connectivity routes to reduce congestion.
Mai Minh Tien, resident of Trang Dai Ward:
Greater attention should be paid to urban beautification and environmental sanitation

My greatest expectation after Dong Nai became a city is that public services will become increasingly modern, convenient and citizen-friendly. Many procedures have already improved, but residents still hope digital technology applications will be expanded further to reduce paperwork and repeated travel.
Moreover, for a city to truly develop, the living environment must also receive synchronized attention. I hope greater emphasis will be placed on urban beautification, environmental sanitation, greenery, public lighting and urban order management. Though these changes may seem small, they directly affect residents’ quality of life.
