Warm gathering held for 250 disadvantaged workers’ families

On February 8, ahead of the Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse 2026, the Dong Nai Provincial Federation of Labor (DFL) organized a gathering for workers’ families facing difficulties who are unable to return to their hometowns to celebrate Tet.

Attending the event were Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee Ha Anh Dung; Member of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee and Chairman of the DFL Nguyen Quoc Dung; Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Women’s Union Bui Thi Hanh; along with 250 workers’ families.

Speaking at the gathering, Member of the Provincial Party Committee (PPC), Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee and Chairman of the DFL Nguyen Quoc Dung said that during the upcoming Tet, the DFL has rolled out a series of activities themed Tet Reunion – Spring of Gratitude to the Party with many practical initiatives. These include organizing year-end union meals, presenting 80,000 Tet gift packages, and arranging trains, buses and flights to take union members and workers back to their hometowns for Tet. The total value of the program is nearly 100 billion VND.

He stressed that the gathering for workers’ families carries practical significance, reflecting the care, responsibility and affection of the trade union organization in sharing, encouraging and supporting union members and workers’ families who continue to face difficulties, with the aim of bringing them a warm, meaningful and joyful spring.

At the event, disadvantaged workers’ families received care, sharing and encouragement from the Trade Union organization and enterprises. Each family was presented with Tet gifts, including 2 million VND in cash, gift items worth 300,000 VND, along with Chung cakes (square glutinous rice cakes) and Tet cakes (cylindrical sticky rice cakes).

In the intimate and warm atmosphere of the gathering, many workers were visibly moved, as they clearly felt the companionship, care and responsibility shown by the trade union organization and enterprises, especially at this year-end moment of reunion.

Attending the gathering and sharing the joy with disadvantaged workers’ families, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial VFF Committee Ha Anh Dung called on Party committees and authorities at all levels to continue directing agencies, units and enterprises to implement more practical solutions to care for the material and spiritual lives of workers across the province, thereby helping all families welcome Tet in a warm and happy atmosphere.

Comrade Ha Anh Dung also expressed his appreciation and extended his thanks to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and enterprises for their many timely and meaningful activities in caring for workers facing difficulties during the nation’s traditional Tet holiday.
