The 2026 Lunar New Year (Tet) of the Horse is just around the corner, and during this time, localities in the Dong Nai province are becoming more bustling and lively, with many streets and residential areas brightly decorated with flags and flowers to welcome Tet.

Streets are decorated
Amidst the joyful atmosphere celebrating the success of the 14th National Congress of the Party and commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam, these days, localities in the province are bustling with activities celebrating the Party and welcoming the Year of the Horse 2026. This is also a concrete effort to realize the determination to successfully implement the resolutions of Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term right from the beginning of the new year.
In Tam Hiep ward, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Council of the ward, Nguyen Xuan Thanh, said: The locality has promptly issued a plan for propaganda and urban landscape decoration. The focus is on a series of events including the Spring Flower Festival and cultural, sports activities taking place from the 20th day of the twelfth lunar month through the 5th day of Tet. This year's impressive highlight is concentrated on
"This methodical investment is not only aimed at embellishing the urban appearance but also seeks to create a cultural space that is both modern and rich in identity, helping people, especially the younger generation, to appreciate and be proud of national traditional values. Thereby, the ward wishes to create a modern, vibrant space for spring outings," said Nguyen Xuan Thanh.
According to the plan of the People's Committee of Tran Bien ward, to celebrate the Party and welcome the 2026 Tet, the ward will implement the Nguyen Van Tri flower street space with the theme "Spring of connection - Tet under one roof". The venue is Nguyen Van Tri Park (from the intersection of Hoang Minh Chau - Nguyen Van Tri to Hoa An Bridge), and the flower street space is expected to have a total length of over 600m.
This is one of a series of activities of the Nguyen Van Tri pedestrian street to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2026) and welcome Tet. The overall flower street is designed into 4 decorative spaces with 4 central models and 13 miniature landscapes, including the space celebrating Tet; Kid Zone space; cultural identity space; Spring of connection - Happy Tet space, along with a concluding cluster symbolizing "ma dao thanh cong" (swift success), expressing the aspiration for a prosperous and peaceful new year.
In Dinh Quan commune, the Youth Union of the commune has just launched the "Party Flag - National Flag Street" youth project. The project contributes to arousing national pride among every youth union member, young person and resident of Dinh Quan commune. The project is implemented along the 17-3 road (in Hiep Tam 1 hamlet, Dinh Quan commune) - right in the administrative center of the commune.

Tran Trang Hong An, Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the Dinh Quan commune, Secretary of the commune Youth Union, said: "The Party Flag - National Flag Street project was implemented with the joint efforts and contributions of youth union members in the commune. The project aims to help youth union members and residents in the commune better understand the important political events of the country, as well as contribute to spreading national pride and patriotism."
Supermarkets, stores invest in Tet "check-in" spots
In addition to the streets, corners, and urban areas, many shopping centers, supermarkets, stores... have also invested in and decorated their spaces, arranging many miniature landscapes, creating traditional and modern Tet spaces to welcome visitors for check-ins during the Tet holiday.
Le Van Hong, Director of GO! Dong Nai Supermarket (in Long Hung ward), shared: In addition to implementing activities to prepare for Tet goods and consumer stimulus programs, during the upcoming peak shopping season for the 2026 Tet, the supermarket proactively sets up eye-catching check-in points and Tet miniature landscapes, thereby creating a shopping space that is both modern and rich in the traditional Tet atmosphere for customers visiting the supermarket to explore and shop.
On this occasion, many cafes and eateries in the province also focus on investing in Tet models and miniature landscapes such as: paintings, couplets, parallel sentences, yellow apricot trees, red cherry blossom branches, strings of red firecrackers, miniature chung cake, tet cake, gold ingots... to attract diners to visit and take check-in photos.
Nguyen Quoc Minh, Director of Co.opmart Dong Xoai Supermarket (in Binh Phuoc ward), said: In addition to major promotional programs and efforts to ensure the supply of Tet goods, the supermarket also arranges miniature landscapes with themes celebrating spring and welcoming Tet to attract customers for shopping and check-ins, as well as implementing activities such as: having words drawn by a calligrapher, "Thousand Wishes - Tet from Sharing" program, "Connecting Family Bonds - Tet Closer Despite Distance" program, "Happy Bus trips" program, thereby contributing to enhancing the meaning of the traditional Tet holiday, connecting children far from home with their families and loved ones...
Ngoc Han (residing in Tran Bien ward) shared: On this occasion, she often strolls with friends on streets decorated with flags and flowers, and also takes advantage of weekends to visit some cafes with Tet-themed decorations to take Tet photos, as well as experience the bustling atmosphere of Tet’s arrival, especially amidst the chilly weather in the last days of the year.
