Speaking at the gift-giving ceremony for residents of Bau Ham, Gia Kiem and Thong Nhat communes, comrade Le Minh Tri, Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, said that amid the joyful atmosphere of the days leading up to the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, he was deeply moved to represent Party and State leaders in visiting the warm-hearted land of Dong Nai and meeting with local residents.

He noted that 2025 was a year full of challenges, yet Dong Nai rose strongly to achieve remarkable growth. The province’s economic growth rate (GRDP) reached an impressive 9.63 percent, ranking first in the Southeast region and seventh nationwide. State budget revenue surpassed a record level of 100 trillion VND. These achievements, he emphasized, were the result of the sweat and efforts of millions of workers on production lines, the dedication of thousands of entrepreneurs, and the consensus of the entire population.

Implementing President Ho Chi Minh’s teachings and the Party’s humane principle of “Leaving no one behind,” Dong Nai devoted substantial resources to social security work over the past year. Thousands of houses for local residents were newly built or repaired, helping many families welcome Tet in warmth and stability.

In addition, the province’s “Fund for the Poor” and social welfare programs mobilized more than 92 billion VND. From this valuable source, Dong Nai prepared over 89,000 Tet gift packages to be delivered directly to poor and near-poor households, Agent Orange victims, people with disabilities, and disadvantaged workers.

Comrade Le Minh Tri also called on Party committees and authorities at all levels in Dong Nai province and local communes to continue promoting effective models, regarding care for the poor as both a responsibility and a top priority of officials, in line with the spirit that “Every household enjoys Tet, everyone enjoys Tet.”

Addressing residents, he encouraged them to maintain confidence and uphold the national tradition of diligence, perseverance and mutual support. With community care and determination to rise, he expressed confidence that the new year would bring better and more prosperous lives.

At the gift-giving ceremonies for workers at Long Well Viet Nam Co. Ltd. and V.R.G.SA DO Rubber Yarn J.S Company, comrade Le Minh Tri affirmed that the Party and State always regard workers as the center, the key stakeholders and an important driving force of the development process. The persistent, quiet yet significant contributions of workers in industrial parks and enterprises have played a vital role in economic growth, social stability and the enhancement of the nation’s standing.

He expressed his hope that each trade union member and worker would continue to maintain confidence, solidarity and determination, strictly observe the law and labor discipline, continuously improve skills and industrial working styles, and work together with enterprises to expand production, contributing to the development of Dong Nai into an increasingly prosperous and civilized province.

He also urged Dong Nai province to continue directing the comprehensive and effective implementation of social security and labor-employment policies, closely monitoring living conditions, jobs and incomes of workers, especially migrant workers and those in struggling enterprises. He stressed the need to strengthen the role and responsibility of trade union organizations, particularly grassroots trade unions and commune- and ward-level trade union models, in representing and protecting the lawful and legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers, proactively preventing and resolving labor disputes and work stoppages, and caring for workers’ material and spiritual well-being not only during Tet but on a regular and long-term basis.

For the leaders of the PPC, the Provincial People’s Committee and the Provincial VFF Committee, he called for continued close coordination with trade union organizations and provincial departments and agencies to grasp the situation and resolve pressing issues of workers, creating a safe, stable, harmonious and progressive working environment in enterprises.

The gift-giving activities on this occasion reflected the Party’s and State’s deep concern for poor and near-poor households, households in especially difficult circumstances, and disadvantaged workers during the traditional Tet. They also served to encourage and motivate residents, union members and workers to work more effectively, contributing to local socio-economic development.
