Trade Union creates source for Party membership development

In recent years, Trade Unions at all levels have promoted their core role in identifying, fostering, and introducing outstanding union members for the Party to consider admitting.

Many Party members who are direct production workers have become bright examples in their lifestyle, work ethic, and actively participate in emulation movements at enterprises.

As a large political-social organization of the working class, Dong Nai Trade Unions at all levels have the conditions to be close to, regularly grasp the thoughts, aspirations, training process, and efforts of trade union members and workers. Through patriotic emulation movements, professional, cultural, and social activities, the Trade Unions promptly identify outstanding individuals with firm political qualities, good ethics, and high sense of responsibility in their work. This is an important source for fostering and creating a source for Party development.

Typically, at Cibao Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Binh Loc Ward, Dong Nai Province), in addition to taking care of the lives of workers, the grassroots Trade Union also focuses on identifying, fostering, and introducing outstanding workers with initiatives and innovations for the Party organization to consider admitting. Currently, the entire company has 15 workers who are Party members. These Party members all successfully complete their professional tasks, actively participate in emulation movements, contributing to maintaining solidarity and stable labor relations in the enterprise.

Nguyen Duc Long, a worker at Cibao Co., Ltd., is an outstanding union member introduced by the grassroots Trade Union and admitted to the Party at the Party cell of the former Long Khanh City Labor Federation in 2024. To join the Party, Long went through a process of striving, studying, training, constantly making efforts in his work, and having many initiatives that contributed to the development of the enterprise. "Being admitted to the Party is an honor, a source of pride, and also a motivation for me to continue striving and making more efforts in my work and life," Long shared.

One of the advantages in Party development among union members and workers is that many grassroots Trade Union officials also hold the roles of Party cell secretaries and Trade Union presidents at their enterprises. Thanks to their regular contact and close ties with workers, these officials promptly grasp the thoughts, ethics, capabilities, and efforts of the masses, thereby proactively developing plans to create a source, assigning Party members to monitor and assist outstanding masses in training and striving to join the Party.

Do Thi Thuy Kieu, Secretary of the Party cell, Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union of Advanced Multitech Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Nhon Trach Commune) said: The company's Party cell was established in 2014 with 4 Party members, and has now grown to 17 Party members. In recent years, under the close leadership and direction of the Party cell in Party development, the grassroots Trade Union has identified and fostered many outstanding union members for Party admission at the enterprise. In 11 years of operation, the Party cell has always excellently completed its annual tasks thanks to the solidarity of Party members, especially Party members who are workers, thereby contributing to the enterprise's stable production and business, and improved income and living standards.

At many enterprises with effective Party and mass organizations, the work of fostering outstanding union members is systematically implemented by Trade Unions at all levels. Many units build long-term source creation plans, regularly review and evaluate union members to introduce them to Party awareness training classes; at the same time, coordinate with Party cells and Party committees to monitor, assist, and create conditions for union members to train and challenge themselves in practical work and movements.

Creating motivation for workers to strive

Clearly recognizing the importance of stable labor relations, in recent years, many foreign direct investment (FDI) enterprise owners have created favorable conditions for grassroots Trade Unions to operate effectively, while encouraging workers to strive in production, study, and improve their skills. This is an advantage for the Trade Union organization to both enhance the care for workers' lives and effectively carry out Party development work among outstanding union members, contributing to stable production and business at enterprises.

Pham Trung Thuyen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union  of Vedan Vietnam Enterprise Corp, Ltd. (Phuoc Thai Commune, Dong Nai Province) said: The company's Party Committee currently has 3 Party cells with 94 Party members, many of whom are direct production workers. To create a source for Party membership development among workers, the Party Committee directs the grassroots Trade Union and other organizations to promote emulation movements associated with the enterprise's political tasks; thereby helping many workers train, affirm their capabilities, sense of responsibility, and pioneering, exemplary role in labor, production, and lifestyle.

The Trade Union's introduction of outstanding union members to the Party not only contributes to supplementing new Party members and rejuvenating the Party member contingent but also enhances the quality of grassroots Party organizations, especially in non-state-owned enterprises. This affirms the role and position of the Trade Union organization in the political system, meeting the province's development requirements in the new period.

At Taiyo Brush Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Long Thanh Commune), many outstanding workers have been nurtured and recommended for Party admission by the grassroots Trade Union. Truong Thi Trinh, a young Party member working at the company, said that as a Party member in the enterprise, she is always clearly aware of her responsibility to set an example in labor and production; strictly abide by the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the enterprise's internal rules and regulations. By successfully completing her professional duties and actively participating in emulation movements, she hopes to contribute to spreading the image of an exemplary Party member, creating motivation for workers to strive, train, and aim to become the Party's members.

According to the report of the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation, in the 2023-2025 period, grassroots Trade Unions have recommended 9,300 outstanding union members for Party committees at all levels to consider, foster, and admit to the Party. As a result, 3,400 outstanding trade union members were admitted to the Party. Among them, many are direct production workers, young laborers with high degree of expertise, a strong sense of responsibility, good organizational discipline, and active participation in patriotic emulation movements.

In the 2025-2030 term, the Trade Union will proactively and closely coordinate with Party committees at the same level to implement many practical solutions to improve the quality of source creation work. Concurrently, it will propagate and educate trade union members about the Party's glorious traditions, raise political awareness, and ignite the correct motivation for workers to strive to become Party members. Through Trade Union activities, study sessions on resolutions and specialized topics, union members will increasingly understand the Party's role, thereby having the motivation to train and strive to join the Party membership.
