Groundbreaking ceremony held for Nha Bich Bridge construction

Joining the emulation movement to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - 2026), on the morning of January 15, the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of Nha Bich Bridge.

Attending the ceremony were members of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Board, including Tran Trung Nhan, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee’s Inspection Commission; Nguyen Minh Hoi, Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission; Giang Thi Phuong Hanh, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairwoman of the People’s Council of Binh Phuoc Ward; along with representatives of leaders of departments, sectors, agencies and units.

The Nha Bich Bridge construction package, located in Nha Bich Commune, Dong Nai Province, is one of nine packages under the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 14 from Dong Xoai Ward to Chon Thanh Ward. Under the design, Nha Bich Bridge will be newly built on the right side of the existing bridge alignment, comprising two separate units, with a total length of 198.1 meters and an overall width of 34 meters. The project is expected to be completed and put into use in 2026.

Representing the contractor, Nguyen Thanh Trung, Deputy Director of Dai Phong Infrastructure Construction Joint Stock Company, stated that given the importance of the project, the company will deploy a capable management team, skilled and experienced technical staff and workers, modern and adequate machinery and equipment, and prioritize all financial resources to ensure construction quality, meet and exceed the schedule, and guarantee labor safety and environmental sanitation throughout the construction process.

The contractor also expressed its hope to receive close attention and guidance from leaders at all levels and sectors of the province, the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board, the authorities of Dong Xoai Ward and Nha Bich Commune, as well as the support and cooperation of locals residing in the project area, especially in site clearance, traffic diversion, ensuring security and order, and providing land for construction camps.

Speaking at the ceremony, Provincial Party Committee Standing Board member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee’s Internal Affairs Commission Nguyen Minh Hoi emphasized that the commencement of the project is of great significance, contributing to the gradual completion of the transport infrastructure system, ensuring traffic safety, shortening transport time, facilitating socio-economic development, and improving the material and spiritual life of residents in the locality.

Nguyen Minh Hoi requested that the contractor concentrate resources to accelerate the project’s progress. Supervision consultants must strictly manage quality, progress, and labor safety; apply digital transformation in construction management and acceptance; and prevent waste and losses. Departments, sectors, and localities were urged to proactively coordinate, expedite site clearance, ensure the availability of material supply sources and disposal sites, organize safe traffic flow, and promptly address difficulties and obstacles within their jurisdiction.

“For residents residing in the project area, continued companionship and sharing are essential so that the project can be implemented most favorably. Once completed, the project will make an important contribution to enabling Dong Nai to achieve strong breakthroughs together with other localities in the region, forming a dynamic growth pole for the country”, Nguyen Minh Hoi expressed his confidence.
