According to the announcement, at educational institutions (including preschool education, general education, continuing education, and the provincial Center for Inclusive Education Development Support), cadres, teachers and students will begin their Tet holiday on February 11 (the 24th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake) and return after Sunday, February 22 (the 6th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Horse).
As a result, students across the province will have a continuous 12-day Lunar New Year holiday. This break is considered reasonable, allowing parents and students to conveniently arrange travel plans to return to their hometowns for Tet while also recharging for the new school term.
For cadres, civil servants, and employees working at the Department of Education and Training, the Tet holiday schedule will follow general state regulations. Specifically, the break will run from February 16 (the 29th day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Snake) through February 20 (the 4th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Horse).
However, the total actual holiday for office-based cadres and civil servants of the department will amount to seven consecutive days, as the following consecutive days fall on Saturday (February 21) and Sunday (February 22).
The Department of Education and Training has instructed schools to assign duty schedules during the Tet holiday to ensure the safety of facilities and maintain security and order on campus. All students and teachers will return to school and resume regular classes on the morning of Monday, February 23, 2026 (the 7th day of the first lunar month of the Year of the Horse).
