On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 and in celebration of the 71st anniversary of the Vietnamese Doctors’ Day (February 27, 1955 – 2026), on the afternoon of January 26, the Vietnam Young Physicians’ Association, the Dong Nai Department of Health and Dong Nai General Hospital, in coordination with the Dong Tam Commune People’s Committee (Dong Nai province), organized a program to distribute free family medicine kits and Lunar New Year gift packages to locals in Dong Tam commune.

At the event, the organizers presented 100 gift packages worth a total of 50 million VND, along with 100 family medicine kits, to disadvantaged households in the commune. The activity aims to support health care for residents in remote areas and ethnic minority communities, contributing to social welfare, especially as Tet approaches.
The program also holds strong practical significance in promoting the tradition of "physicians as compassionate mothers" and in fostering a sense of responsibility and humanistic values among health workers, doctors, and medical staff in Dong Nai.
In addition to the activities in Dong Tam commune, during the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026, the Dong Nai Department of Health, in collaboration with the Vietnam Young Physicians’ Association, the Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Vietnam Youth Federation and relevant units, will organize free medical check-ups, treatment, medicine distribution and gift-giving programs for disadvantaged residents in various localities across the province.
Accordingly, around 3,000 residents are expected to receive free medical examinations. The organizers will also present approximately 3,000 gift packages and 1,200 family medicine kits, supported by the Vietnam Young Physicians’ Association, to disadvantaged households and policy beneficiary families.
