Nguyen Tat Thanh University students visit, learn at Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television

On the afternoon of December 16, 150 students from the Faculty of Creative Communication of Nguyen Tat Thanh University (Ho Chi Minh City) visited and participated in a practical learning trip at Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television.

The activity aims to provide students with opportunities to access a professional working environment and gain a clearer understanding of the operational processes of a journalism organization, thereby linking theoretical knowledge with practical experience and helping shape career orientation in the journalism and communications field.

During the visit, Cao Quoc Sang, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television, provided an overview of the unit’s formation and development, and highlighted the role of Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television in information dissemination and public communication, serving political tasks and meeting the information needs of residents.

He expressed his hope that students who are passionate about journalism will continue to strive, build knowledge and skills, and become the next generation of journalism professionals in the future.

On this occasion, leaders of specialized departments directly exchanged views. They shared professional experience, including reporting practices, skills in sourcing and verifying information, handling on-site situations, as well as the process of completing a journalism product that ensures high quality in both content and presentation.

Students also raised questions on issues of interest, such as information gathering methods, distinguishing between real and fake news, production processes for print, online, radio, and television journalism, as well as trends in technology integration, digital transformation, and the converged newsroom model in modern journalism.

In addition, students from the Faculty of Creative Communication at Nguyen Tat Thanh University expressed particular interest in the section titled “Dong Nai Newspaper Gen Z – Stories of Young People”. Aimed at young readers, the section reflects the lives, thoughts, aspirations, and concerns of Generation Z. The students expressed their hope to have the opportunity to contribute articles to the section in the near future.
