The construction area of the block of semi-boarding dormitory rooms and dining hall in the first floor is over 445m2; the floor area is over 1,336m2; the kitchen is over 112m2. In addition, there are auxiliary items such as: concrete yard, drainage ditch, flower beds, corrugated iron roof, etc. The total investment for construction is approximately 10.95 billion VND. The project is expected to be completed and put into use at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year.

This is an extremely necessary educational project for Loc Thanh border commune, thereby creating stable learning conditions for ethnic minority students, reducing the rate of absenteeism and dropping out due to geographical distance from home to school  and difficult living conditions, and strengthening educational infrastructure in border, remote, and isolated communes.

According to the Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, there are currently 8 border communes in the province bordering the Kingdom of Cambodia. Although in recent times, Party committees and authorities at all levels have paid attention to investing in infrastructure development, caring for social welfare, and developing culture and education. However, compared to the general development level of the province, border communes still face many difficulties that require continued attention and investment in upgrading and expanding schools as directed by the Politburo in Conclusion Notice No. 81.

Through preliminary surveys and aggregation of school construction investment needs in border communes, the entire province currently requires boarding and semi-boarding facilities for approximately 10,500 students with 647 classes; but, there are currently only 882 items/rooms, with a need for an additional 390 items/rooms; the total investment capital is nearly 400 billion VND. It is expected that investment projects for schools in border communes throughout the province will be completed before the beginning of the next 2026-2027 school year.
