Successive rounds of heavy rains and flooding have caused severe damage in Dak Lak and several provinces across the Central and Central Highlands regions. In the aftermath of the floods, the sight of long humanitarian relief convoys from Dong Nai and the mud-covered footsteps of hundreds of officers and soldiers of the Dong Nai Public Security arriving in flood-affected areas has become a source of comfort and spiritual support for local residents.
Beyond delivering essential goods, the Dong Nai Public Security force brought with them compassion, responsibility and the spirit of “Serving the people,” standing side by side with the communities to overcome the consequences of the disaster and rebuild life after the devastating floods.
Joining hands to support flood-affected communities
As soon as the provincial Public Security issued a plan to mobilize support for residents affected by flooding, a series of relief collection stations was established in key areas. From the morning of November 23, police stations in wards such as Tran Bien, Tam Hiep, Long Binh, Trang Dai, Ho Nai, Long Hung, Phuoc Tan, Tam Phuoc and others deployed officers to be on duty, receiving boxes of instant noodles, bags of rice and cartons of milk donated by residents.
The atmosphere at these collection stations was bustling and urgent, yet filled with warmth. Some people donated a few kilograms of rice; others brought boxes of noodles or milk, while certain businesses delivered entire truckloads of essential goods. All shared the same desire that is to ease the hardships faced by fellow citizens in the Central and Central Highlands regions.

Captain Phan Hoang Su of Tran Bien Ward Public Security said that when the plan for receiving donations for flood victims was issued, officers immediately cleared space to organize and store the donated goods properly. After just one day of operation, the ward police station was already nearly out of room.
According to Captain Su, despite the heavy workload and physical demands, officers felt motivated rather than tired, knowing that people suffering amid the floods desperately needed support. Officers were happy to contribute even a little to help those still facing difficulties.
This spirit of solidarity reflects not only the sense of duty among Dong Nai public security officers but also the bond of compassion connecting officers and the people of Dong Nai with flood-affected communities. In addition to mobilizing public donations, officers across the province voluntarily contributed money and essential items themselves.
Helping communities rebuild life after the floods
Recognizing the urgency of supporting residents in the Central and Central Highlands regions following the historic floods, the provincial police swiftly dispatched officers and equipment to Dak Lak to assist local communities.
On November 28, the Dong Nai Provincial Public Security held a send-off ceremony for the third deployment to reinforce manpower and equipment in heavily affected areas across the Central and Central Highlands provinces. This third mission included more than 120 officers and soldiers.
According to Colonel Nguyen Anh Hung, Deputy Director of the Provincial Public Security, Dong Nai Provincial Public Security will maintain their presence on the ground until the flooding is fully under control and local life is restored.
Earlier, on November 22, the provincial Public Security deployed 16 officers along with canoes to deeply flooded areas in Dak Lak’s communes and wards to conduct rescue operations. Many residents trapped in floodwaters were safely evacuated by the officers.
On November 23, the second task force of 115 officers was sent to Tuy Hoa ward (Dak Lak province) to help residents clean up and recover from the historic flood.
At the send-off ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Phuong Dang, Deputy Director of the Provincial Public Security, emphasized: With the spirit of “sharing sweetness and hardship,” “mutual support,” and the tradition of “Serving the people,” the Dong Nai Provincial Public Security continue their mission to support local authorities and communities in Dak Lak in overcoming the aftermath of the natural disaster. This is not only a duty but also a political and humanitarian responsibility, and a profound expression of comradeship and national solidarity.
Colonel Dang stressed that this special mission reflects the deep concern and timely action of the Party Committee and the Board of Directors of the Dong Nai Provincial Public Security for the suffering and losses endured by people in the disaster-hit areas. The deployment provides direct material and emotional support to help residents stabilize their lives and get through the most difficult post-flood period.
Captain Nguyen Huu Linh of the Cybersecurity and High-Tech Crime Prevention Division, who directly participated in helping residents clean houses, schools, clear mud and restore sanitation, shared: “Being here, witnessing the devastation firsthand, we see just how difficult life has become for local residents. Many families have lost almost everything. Some will have to start over entirely.”
Captain Linh added that officers used every available moment to help residents clear debris. Many schools and residential areas were still buried under layers of mud, and trees and household items littered the roads after the floods.
“We are ready to do anything if it helps local residents return to normal life as soon as possible,” he said.
Captain Thai Ngo Hieu of the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Division said that upon arriving in Tuy Hoa ward, Dong Nai officers immediately began cleaning efforts. Many areas had just seen the water recede, revealing thick mud, scattered belongings and severely disrupted lives. Faced with such devastation, every officer wished to contribute whatever strength they had to help people recover.
Images of Dong Nai Provincial Public Security officers rolling up their trousers to wade through mud, carrying wooden planks and bags of debris, pulling heavy tree trunks or carefully rearranging damaged household items for residents touched many hearts. Amid hardship, their determined teamwork became a powerful symbol of warmth and solidarity for flood-affected communities.
From relief shipments and convoys heading toward flood zones to the mud-stained hands working side by side with residents to overcome the aftermath, the image of Dong Nai Provincial Public Securityofficers has left a lasting impression upon flood-affected communities. It is a symbol of compassion, humanity and the unwavering spirit of “Serving the people.”
