Dong Nai lends support to Van Canh commune residents in Gia Lai province after Storm No. 15

On December 13, the Dong Nai Provincial Red Cross Society, in coordination with TKG Taekwang Vina Joint Stock Company, conducted a visit to deliver aid and gifts to residents of Van Canh commune, Gia Lai province, who were severely affected by recent heavy rains, typhoon, and flooding.

At the headquarters of the Van Canh Commune People's Committee, the working delegation distributed 400 cash aid packages, each worth 1 million VND, to households affected by Storm No. 15. In addition, each household received a box of drinking water, mobilized and provided by the Gia Lai Provincial Red Cross Society, to help residents stabilize their daily living conditions in the immediate term.

According to local authorities, at the end of November and early December 2025, Storm No. 15 brought prolonged heavy rainfall, causing flooding and landslides in many areas of Van Canh commune. Hundreds of households fell into hardship, with widespread damage to homes, crops, livestock, and other property.

The prompt support from the Dong Nai delegation not only helped residents recover from the natural disaster but also showed a spirit of solidarity and community responsibility toward people in disaster-affected areas.
