On December 4, the Dong Nai Department of Ethnic and Religious Affairs (DoERA) held a gathering with dignitaries and officials of religions across the province in 2025.

On this occasion, dignitaries, religious officials, and clergy from the Catholic Church, Protestant Church, and Seventh-day Adventist Church expressed their appreciation to the Provincial leaders and the DoERA for creating favorable conditions for religious activities.

In addition, representatives of religious organizations exchanged views with the event’s chairpersons on several issues related to administrative procedures, such as land-use rights certificates and construction permits. They also called on the DoERA and local authorities to support religious organizations in resolving outstanding matters.

On behalf of those chairing the gathering, Deputy Director of the DoERA Nguyen Van Khang updated dignitaries, officials, and clergy on the overall situation after five months of implementing the new two-tier local government model in Dong Nai, as well as the results of the 1st Provincial Party Congress for the 2025–2030 tenure.

He also highlighted the strong coordination between authorities at all levels and religious organizations in carrying out social charity work, education, healthcare, and social protection; encouraging religious followers to take part in patriotic emulation movements and comply with the law; and maintaining security, order, and traffic safety during major religious events, in addition to securing consensus in implementing key projects involving land acquisition.

Regarding the recommendations raised by religious organizations, Deputy Director of the DoERA Nguyen Van Khang affirmed that the organizers would take note and work closely with relevant agencies and religious organizations to address obstacles.

The DoERA also expressed its hope that religious dignitaries and officials, as well as clergy from the Catholic Church, Protestant Church, and Seventh-day Adventist Church will continue to accompany and encourage followers to join efforts with Party committees, authorities, and the public in building a green, prosperous, civilized, and modern Dong Nai.
