This is the first time the Provincial Land Fund Development Center has coordinated with Phuoc Tan Ward to pay compensation to support site clearance for households whose land was recovered for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway resettlement project.

Previously, when notified of land recovery for the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway resettlement project, households in Phuoc Tan Ward agreed and actively coordinated with the specialized agencies of the province and ward to conduct an inventory of the area, assets, crops, and agreed on a compensation plan.

Up to now, the competent authorities have submitted for appraisal and approved two compensation rounds for 89 households, corresponding to 154 plots of land with a total recovered area of ​​23,115 hectares. Of these, 38 households have been approved for payment in the first round, with 79 plots of land, a recovered area of ​​11,496 hectares, total amount of 252,637 billion VND.

According to the leader of Phuoc Tan Ward People's Committee, along with focusing on implementing compensation and payment to people to ensure publicity, transparency and on schedule, the Ward People's Committee is coordinating with the Provincial Land Fund Development Center to continue completing procedures to soon pay compensation and support site clearance for households that have agreed on the compensation plan, determined to disburse more than 500 billion VND in compensation for site clearance for this project in 2025.
