On the morning of November 25, the Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee held a deployment ceremony for a working group sent to strengthen support for residents in Dak Lak Province in overcoming the aftermath of storms and natural disasters.

Hoang Lan Anh, Chairwoman of the Dong Xoai Ward Women’s Union, said that in response to the severe destruction and widespread losses caused by recent natural disasters in the central region, the union launched an appeal on November 23 calling on officials and members across all neighborhood branches to contribute under the spirit of “the intact leaf covers the torn leaf” and “a morsel in hunger is worth a feast in plenty”. Within just one day, the union mobilized a total of 2 tons of rice, 210 boxes of instant noodles, 30 boxes of milk, 130 boxes of bottled water, and various other essentials, clothing, and goods, amounting to more than 4 tons.

The union also called on the commune’s militia force to assist in loading all the relief goods onto the vehicle, which is scheduled to depart early tomorrow (November 25) for flood-affected communities in Dak Lak Province.

Local leaders praised the timely mobilization efforts by the ward’s Women’s Union. They expressed hope that the volunteer team would have a safe journey and provide meaningful support to residents in the central region.

Bui Anh Khoa, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Xoai Ward, added that tomorrow morning (November 25), the ward’s Red Cross Society and several other organizations will continue to collect and mobilize additional essential goods to support people in disaster-affected areas promptly.
