(ĐN) - On the morning of 24 November, after more than a day implementing a relief plan for central provinces affected by heavy rains and floods, the Dong Nai provincial public security dispatched 12 trucks carrying around 120 tons of goods and essential supplies, valued at nearly 1.5 billion VND, to residents in the affected areas.
The aids had been collected on November 23 by police units in the wards of Bien Hoa, Tran Bien, Tam Hiep, Long Binh, Trang Dai, Ho Nai, Long Hung, Phuoc Tan, and Tam Phuoc.

Following directives from the Ministry of Public Security to support communities affected by natural disasters, the Director of Dong Nai Public Security coordinated a province-wide plan to mobilize resources and organize aid for residents affected by floods.\

Given the urgency, personnel across the provincial public security force quickly stepped up to help those in need. Local police units in wards and communes have established collection points to receive donations of essential supplies from the public.

The collected goods were then consolidated and sorted for distribution to the affected provinces. By the evening of November 23, all donations and essential supplies from local police units had been compiled and were being transported to central provinces. The shipment included rice, clothing, blankets, boots, gloves, medical supplies, and various other essential food and household items. In addition, the provincial public security received more than 430 million VND in cash contributions from the public.
78-year-old woman donates 5 million VND to residents affected by floods
On the afternoon of November 23, upon learning that the public security were coordinating donations for residents affected by floods, 78-year-old Nguyen Thi Le from Tan Trieu ward personally delivered 5 million VND. Despite her age and frailty, she asked her daughter to accompany her to ensure the donation reached the authorities to support flood-affected residents. Nguyen Thi Le said the amount was modest but reflected the heartfelt spirit of a former member of the military.

“I hope people affected by the floods get enough rice and basic supplies to get through this tough time.”- Nguyen Thi Le said.
