Over 1 billion VND in support for students and residents in border communes

On November 7 and 8, through the coordination of the Dong Nai Study Promotion Association and the Dong Nai Red Cross Society, Tanimex Company (Ho Chi Minh City), in collaboration with Hung Vuong Hospital, visited Dak O and Bu Gia Map, two border communes still facing significant hardship in the province, to present scholarships and bicycles to students, provide free medical check-ups and medicine, and deliver gifts along with community welfare projects for disadvantaged residents.

The delegation awarded scholarships, school bags, notebooks, and bicycles to students from schools in the two communes. It also provided funding to repair 10 restrooms at Dinh Bo Linh Primary School in Dak O commune and to renovate four classrooms at Dak A Primary School in Bu Gia Map commune. The total sponsorship for schools in the two communes amounted to 422 million VND.

On this occasion, the volunteer medical team from Hung Vuong Hospital provided free medical check-ups and medicine to nearly 300 people, with a total value of 150 million VND.

On this occasion, the delegation also presented 300 gift packages worth 300 million VND to disadvantaged ethnic minority residents, while also funding a community clean water project for local task forces at Bu Gia Map and Dak O Border Guard Stations, valued at 166 million VND.

The total value of the humanitarian activities carried out in Dak O and Bu Gia Map communes amounted to 1.035 billion VND.
