Giving Trade Union shelters and scholarships to workers' children

On the afternoon of November 21, the Dong Nai Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Golden Heart Charity Social Fund of the Labor Newspaper to organize a ceremony to present Trade Union Shelters to union members in difficulty and scholarships to workers’ children who overcome difficulties and studied well in the province.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Labor Federation and the sponsoring unit awarded scholarships to 25 students who are workers’ children who overcome difficulties and excelled in their studies, each worth 1 million VND. The scholarship recipients all share the same situation such as having lost a father or mother, having a parent suffering from a serious illness, lacking a house and having to rent accommodation, or coming from particularly disadvantaged families….

In addition, the program awarded the Union's warm house symbol worth 50 million VND/house to union member Bui Thi Le Ngoc, who is working at Pouchen Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bien Hoa ward).

The funding for both programs, worth 75 million VND, is sponsored by KCN Viet Nam Group Joint Stock Company (Ho Chi Minh City).

At the ceremony, a representative of Viet Nam Industrial Park Group Joint Stock Company said: The scholarship and Trade Union Shelter programs are meaningful activities aimed at bringing a more stable life to workers' families; at the same time, creating conditions for their children to continue studying, nurturing their future dreams, and improving the quality of the country's human resources.
