Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television wins third prize at the 2025 National Press Awards “For the Cause of Vietnamese Education”

On the evening of November 14 in Ha Noi, the Organizing Committee of the 2025 National Press Awards “For the Cause of Vietnamese Education” held the closing ceremony and presented the awards. The event was broadcast live on VTV2, Vietnam Television.

According to the Organizing Committee, this year's awards attracted more than 800 entries across four categories: print, online, radio, and television. All submissions were published or broadcast in mainstream media between September 5, 2024, and September 5, 2025. The entries offered a vivid reflection of educational life and closely tracked current issues in the education sector. Many left a strong impression thanks to thoughtful investment in both content and presentation. Several works stood out for their authenticity, emotional resonance, and the dedication of the journalists, generating significant social impact.

As a result, 82 entries were selected for the final round. From these, the Final Jury recommended awarding 4 first prizes, 8 second prizes, 12 third prizes, 36 consolation prizes, and recognized 2 outstanding individuals featured in two prize-winning works.

Accordingly, the four first prizes were awarded to: the print series “The ethics of teaching” by Le Vo Nguyet Thuong and Le Thi Ngoc Huong of Phap luat Viet Nam (Vietnam Law) Newspaper; the online series “Resolution 71 - The Party’s breakthrough policy: Enabling Viet Nam’s education to stand shoulder to shoulder with global powers” by Pham Thi Mai and Vo Hoang Long of VietnamPlus; the radio series “Vietnamese workforce - Vietnamese aspirations” by Nguyen Thi Thu Luong, Tran Ba Duy and Cao Thi Phuong Lan of the Culture - Society and Ethnic Affairs Department (VOV2) of the Voice of Vietnam (VOV); and the television work “Opening the way” by Dang Tran My Hanh, Duong Van Thuan and Cao Dang Giang of the Department of Special Features – Science and Education, Vietnam Television (VTV).

Dong Nai Newspaper and Radio, Television won a third prize with the piece “The story of a teacher from Ho Chi Minh City bringing literacy to the heart of Tri An Lake,” by reporters Le Thanh Nhan and Truong Duc Huy.

Nguyen Duc Loi, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, and Chair of the Final Jury, stated that the National Press Awards “For the Cause of Vietnamese Education” has become a powerful symbol of the connection between journalism and education, serving as a platform that honors humanistic values and spreads trust and the aspiration for innovation throughout society. The Awards are not merely a professional activity, but have truly become a spiritual forum for those who write for knowledge, for humanity, and for the nation’s future.

The year 2025 marks the eighth edition of the National Press Awards “For the Cause of Vietnamese Education,” organized by the Ministry of Education and Training in coordination with the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Propaganda and Mass Mobilization, the Ministry of Information and Communications (now the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism), and the Vietnam Journalists Association. Giao duc va Thoi dai Newspaper serves as the standing agency and implementing unit.
