Dong Nai allocated 450 train and 120 airline tickets for union members, workers returning home for Tet

On the morning of November 2, a representative of the Dong Nai Confederation of Labour announced that the unit has just implemented a plan to arrange transportation for union members and workers to return to their hometowns for Tet and to return to work afterward, during the 2026 Lunar New Year (the Year of the Horse), as directed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour (VGCL) to all levels of trade unions across the province.

According to the plan, the VGCL allocates 2 thousand round-trip train tickets, 2 thousand gift packages (worth 300,000 VND/package), and 500 one-way plane tickets to the HCM City Labour Federation, Dong Nai Confederation of Labour, and Tay Ninh Confederation of Labour, with Dong Nai being allocated 450 train tickets and 120 plane tickets to bring trade union members and workers home for Tet.

This Tet, beneficiaries selected to receive train and plane tickets include union members and workers facing hardship; those affected by occupational accidents or diseases; those who have lost their jobs or are owed wages; ethnic minorities; relatives of meritorious individuals; and those with outstanding achievements in production or trade union activities during the 2020–2025 period. Before union members and workers depart for their hometowns, representatives of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour and the Dong Nai Confederation of Labour will personally meet them, present gifts, and offer Tet greetings.

The estimated departure period for the Trade Union Flight is from February 12 to 16 (corresponding to the 25th to 29th days of the twelfth lunar month). Flights will depart from Tan Son Nhat Airport and arrive at Vinh International Airport and Noi Bai International Airport. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor provides free tickets, with no more than one relative allowed to accompany each eligible union member or worker.

As for the Trade Union Train from South to North, it will operate from February 10 to 16 (the 23rd to 29th days of the twelfth lunar month). The return trip, from North to South after Tet Nguyen Dan, will run from February 20 to March 1, 2026 (the 4th to 13th days of the first lunar month of the 2026 Lunar New Year –  the Year of the Horse).

To promptly facilitate trade union members and workers returning home for Tet conveniently, quickly, and safely, the Dong Nai Confederation of Labour requests grassroots trade unions to select union members and workers in difficult circumstances to support with plane tickets; and at the same time, organize transportation to pick up and drop off union members and workers from their residences and workplaces to Tan Son Nhat Airport according to the flight schedule.

In addition to plane and train tickets from the VGCL, the Dong Nai Confederation of Labour is expected to support 2,200 bus tickets to bring union members and workers home for Tet.
