The Regional Command and its affiliated units presented more than 1,300 gift sets worth over 150 million dong, along with other meaningful gifts such as piggy banks, lanterns, greeting cards, toys, and school supplies…
These simple gifts carry deep love, sharing, and care from naval officers and soldiers for the “little ones at the rear” - a source of spiritual strength for their fathers - the soldiers stationed at the forefront of the waves”.

In particular, the Mid-Autumn Festival night program “Dad at the rig - Children at home with friends” organized by Naval Region 2 left many emotional moments. Children immersed themselves in a lively atmosphere with lion dances, music, traditional games, meeting the Moon Man (chú Cuội) and the Moon Lady (chị Hằng); especially, they could watch live images of their fathers working on the DK1 rig, listening to Mid-Autumn wishes and messages of love from the forefront of the waves.

At the moment when the wishes from the offshore rig appeared on the screen, many children’s eyes were filled with tears. Although their fathers were on duty, guarding the vast seas and protecting the country’s maritime sovereignty, their love always remained steadfastly, directed towards their cherished homes. “Dad at the rig - Children at home with friends” - this bridge of love connected the distance between the sea and the land, between officers, soldiers, and their children, making the Mid-Autumn Festival complete and warm.

Through the program, the images of resilient naval soldiers at sea not only inspired pride but also sowed seeds of love and responsibility in the children’s hearts. This is a meaningful occasion to educate, nurture character, strengthen family bonds, and foster community solidarity; at the same time, it encourages children of officers and soldiers serving on the islands and at sea, bringing them a joyful and warm Mid-Autumn Festival, and motivating them to strive to become good children, excellent students, and responsible citizens of the country.
